Description

The Heartsaver CPR AED course is taught in a blended learning format. Students must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session conducted by an American Heart Association Training Center instructor (Tyler Davis) at First Support CPR and First Aid Training. Students who successfully complete the online course and skills session (sold separately), will receive a Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion card, valid for two years.

What Does this Course Teach?

Heartsaver CPR AED Course provides the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of CPR and how to use an AED. The course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community.

This course has been updated to reflect new science and education in the 2020 Guidelines for CPR & ECC and will replace the previous version (15-1401). If you are student, please confirm that this is the correct course for your class. Note: this course is currently updated

Audience

Heartsaver CPR AED is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs CPR AED training and a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared to act in an emergency situations while waiting for the emergency team to arrive.

Blended Learning

Heartsaver® CPR AED

Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online, followed by a hands-on session. The hands-on session is completed in person with an AHA Instructor or using a Voice Assisted Manikin (VAM), where available.

Heartsaver CPR AED trains anyone with little or no medical training to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
